The Loving Discipline of a Perfect Father in Genesis 42:25 to the End of 43
During this service we considered we considered the character of God as a loving Father towards His people. This is the principle taught in our New Testament reading Galatians 3:23–4:7 and illustrated in our sermon passage Genesis 42:24-43:34. We also sang praises to God with hymns for being:
-
A Father who comes to our help (Psalm 121 I lift My Eyes Up to the Hills),
-
A Holy God who is set apart from everything in His creation yet invites us to call him Father (Only a Holy God), and
-
A Father who calms our fears so that we can say It is Well With My Soul.
The bulletin is posted here. A video of the service is below.
