God Became Flesh

calendar_today December 5, 2022

On the second Sunday of Advent, our pastor preached from Matthew 1:18-25. We considered the virgin birth of Jesus as well as the meaning of his name, Jesus, and what it means as we look forward towards his second coming. We confessed our faith using the Creed of Chalcedon (AD 451), and we sang more of our congregation’s favorite Advent hymns such as: Come Thou Long Expected Jesus and the French carol, Thou Who Wast Rich Beyond All Splendor (starts at the 1:50 mark). A video of the service is posted below, and the bulletin is posted here.
