“Foundations in Genesis”

On June 5th, Porter began preaching a new series from the Book of Genesis. In Genesis, God tells us our origin story. Over the coming weeks, we will consider the foundational issues that God speaks to in Genesis: how the universe was created, why we were created, what does it mean that we bear God’s image, what does God say about marriage, gender, sexuality, the work we engage, and why we need to pause to rest and worship.

Unfortunately, the Facebook livestream of the service did not work. So we have provided a picture of the brass quartet rehearsing before they helped us celebrate and give thanks during this service to mark our church’s 3rd anniversary. We sang, “With Grateful Hearts My Thanks I Bring,” (Psalm 138) as well as two hymns central to our identity as Christ’s church: The Church’s One Foundation and In Christ Alone.
