God of Condemning Wrath & Redeeming Love

During this worship service, we take a second look at John 3:16 in the context of the surrounding passage. Last week’s sermon emphasized God’s love for a perishing people. This week we will examine God’s justice that condemns the world to perish. That will make God’s grace available at the cross and the reminder of it at His table all the more remarkable and to be desired. The Good News is good news when we know and understand the bad news. God’s grace in Christ is free but it is not cheap in that it is free to us but it cost God greatly. The Bulletin may be found here.
