The Chief Shepherd & His Under-Shepherds

In this passage, Peter describes the characteristics of an elder as one who shepherds the church the way Christ shepherds His people: gently and humbly. In this sermon, Porter makes the Biblical case for elder leadership of the church. Then he examines the passage to see the tasks that the elder has, the humble character that we should expect the elder to have, and finally how the congregation should receive the elder’s shepherding (with matching humility).
