“Love & Power” in the Rich Young Ruler from Mark 10:17-25

On the second day of our Winter Conference on Public Theology, Chuck Garriott preached on the Rich Young Ruler who met the Christ. Christ loved (verse 16) and spoke the truth to him, telling him that he loved himself and the status that he had in his wealth and power more than he loved God. And today, the Christ who loves us speaks to us through his holy Spirit telling us turn from our love of ourselves and turn to follow him.
