Our Need for Rest & Worship: the Story of Mary and Martha in Luke 10

On the day of our “public” launch, we read Luke 10:38–42, the account of Jesus visiting the home of his two friends, Mary and Martha. Like Jesus’s friend Martha, so many of us in the DC area are really busy, but Jesus points us towards Mary and says that our busy-ness is distracting us from Him. On the Lord’s day, Christ calls upon us to pause from our busy-ness and to spend time with him in His Word, in prayer, and at His table.
