Restored to Work in John 21:15-19

Porter preached on the grace Jesus showed Peter in John 21:15-19 when He restored Peter to the work of spreading His Kingdom. Last week we considered the cultural mandate God gave to Adam and Eve (and to us) to “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it.” This week, we considered the relation of the Cultural Mandate to the Great Commission that we “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.” To mark the season of Lent, we sang a hymn of lament, “Lord from Sorrow’s Deep I Call,” which is based on Psalm 42. We also praised our Savior with an old hymn set to a new tune: “He Will Hold Me Fast.” A video of the service is posted below, and the bulletin is posted here.
