First Sunday of Advent

Advent is a season of waiting. We remember Israel’s waiting for Christ’s first coming, and we are waiting for Christ return when He will restore creation and make all things new. To that we say, “Come, Lord Jesus!” During this worship we sang Advent hymns and read Scripture passages that reflect our waiting. Then seminary student Robert Hasler preached from Mark 2:1-12 on how Christ’s healing of the paralyzed man was a foretaste of the spiritual and physical healing that Christ will bring to His kingdom in the new creation.
