The Transformed Life that Comes from Adoption

Our pastor preached on one of Christ’s great promises to his followers: “I will not leave you as orphans.” (John 14:18-24) We considered the Christian’s union with Christ and the benefits (His power and His fruit) that come to us from His Spirit living inside of us. If your love for Him has grown cold or you are feeling far from Christ, dwelling upon His words in this passage are likely to revive your love and remind you how close he is indeed. During this service, we also sang some amazing hymns about how Christ listens to us when we cry out to Him in our suffering (Lord From Sorrow’s Deep I Call) and how He is our anchor that keeps us steady when there is chaos around us (Christ the Sure and Steady Anchor).
