Freedom is in Christ (John 8:30-36)

Our pastor preached from John 8:30-36 on the Christian’s freedom in Christ. We considered how this freedom is not some metaphorical freedom, but the power of the risen Christ living inside us to break the enslaving bonds of sin so that we may progressively grow in grace, love, and obedience. The message of Christ in this passage is an encouragement that the resurrection of Christ not only gives us hope for heaven tomorrow but real power to live in union with Christ today.
