Scott Hatch

S. J. Hatch serves as a Ruling Elder at Christ Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Burke, Virginia. He started this site as a place to share his own plan for a lectionary of Scripture readings, and has since expanded it to include notes from his Adult Christian Education class at Christ Presbyterian, along with reflections on rethinking the church calendar.

Hatch was born in Virginia but raised in Maine, where his family has lived since the 1600s. He returned to Virginia in 1990 after completing his undergraduate studies. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of New Hampshire, an M.A. in Religion from Reformed Theological Seminary–Washington D.C., and a Th.M. in Systematic and Historical Theology from Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia.

He lives in Fairfax, Virginia, with his wife and two cats.
