A Life of Fullness & Meaning in John 18:12-27

calendar_today January 24, 2022

In this sermon on John 18:12-27, we considered the faithfulness Jesus to his unfaithful disciple Peter. Peter betrayed Jesus three times in our sermon passage Like a modern screenwriter, the Gospel writer cuts quickly between scenes in which Jesus is being questioned by the High Priest in one place while Peter is being questioned by three random strangers in another place. Jesus was faithful while Peter was not. And yet, Jesus would forgive Peter for his betrayals, and Peter would grow in grace to bravely preach to thousands only 50 days later. We will consider how the death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ changed everything for Peter and for us. The bulletin is posted here (note the date on the bulletin is Jan 16 because snow caused the cancellation of worship on Jan 16th).
