Belonging to the Shepherd and Belonging in His Flock from John 10:11-21

Our pastor, Porter, continued on the theme of Christ as our Good Shepherd from John 10:11-21. Last week we considered how we hear our Shepherd’s voice in the Scriptures and in the faithful preaching and teaching of the Scriptures. So this week, we sang the hymn, “I Heard The Voice of Jesus Say.” Then we considered how just as the Shepherd owns His sheep, we belong to Christ because he ransomed us from sin and death by laying down his life for us at the cross. We remembered Christ’s sacrifice at the Lord’s Table, and we sang the hymn by Stuart Townend, “Behold the Lamb (Communion Hymn).” The bulletin is posted here.
