Biblical Worship

calendar_today October 4, 2020

During this worship service, our church considers the account of Jesus cleansing the Temple in John 2:13-25 and what it means for how we worship. We will consider Jesus’s zeal for our worship and His authority to direct our worship. We have a family discussion about why we worship the way we do, and our belief that God meets with His people during the time He gathers us for worship. We will draw contrasts with other forms of worship—not to condemn them—but to explain with humility that the way people interpret this passage will inform how they worship. We also sing hymns that emphasize His Kingship, His sovereignty, and His glory. The Bulletin may be found here.
