Christ Intercedes for Us in John 17:20-26

On the First Sunday of Christmas and the last Sunday of 2021, we continued singing Christmas hymns, and our pastor preached the last of three sermons on Jesus’ High Priestly prayer. In this part, Jesus specifically prayed for us who would come to faith after His ascension. John Calvin described this part of the prayer as “a safe harbour, and whoever retreats into it is safe from all danger of shipwreck; for it is as if Christ had solemnly sworn to devote his care and diligence to our salvation.” Listen and find a safe harbor in Christ.
