Easter Sunday from Luke 24
Luke
,
On that first resurrection Sunday, Luke 24 provides the account of the two travelers walking home from Jerusalem. They were grieving and confused by the death of Jesus. In the account, Jesus “draws close” to walk alongside them. We explored why they did not recognize Jesus and how He restored their faith as he spent time with them, breaking bread with them, and teaching them from the Old Testament Scriptures that it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and rise from the dead. There is great hope for discouraged hearts in this text. The bulletin is posted here.
