“How Do We Come into the Kingdom of God?” Sermon on the Parable of the Sower from Matthew 13:1-9; 18-23

We ask the question, ”How do we come into the Kingdom of God?” and in the Parable of the Sower, Jesus explains that (1) He is like a farmer casting his seed, (2) His Word is like the seed and (3) we are like soil. We may come into the kingdom by receiving God’s Word the way good soil receives a seed, seeing it take deep root in our hearts so that it produces new life and an abundant harvest of good fruit for the benefit of others.
