“How Many Times Should I Forgive?” The Parable of the Unforgiving Servant in Matthew 18:21-35

Charlie Baile, the pastor of our mother church, Shady Grove Presbyterian Church (PCA), came to our church to encourage us in our mission to plant a new outpost for God’s kingdom in Northern Virginia. Using this parable, Charlie reminded us of the need for the small congregation to have a culture of forgiveness towards each other so that we do not grow bitter towards each other in the midst of serving. He reminded us of how we must look to our Savior, who has forgiven us so much more than we must forgive our neighbors.
