Thanksgiving & Gratitude in Genesis 47

During this worship service of thanksgiving, we expressed our gratitude to our Lord with readings, prayers, and music. We sang Psalm 136, O Thank the Lord; Psalm 23, The Lord’s My Shepherd; and considered the great feast that awaits us in the new creation using Sandra McCracken’s We Will Feast In The House of Zion. Porter, our pastor, preached from Genesis 47 on the gratitude demonstrated by Pharaoh to Joseph, by Jacob to Pharoah, and by the people of Egypt to Joseph.
