The Curse of Death and Promise of Life in John 11:17-27

Our pastor, Porter Harlow, preached on Jesus’ promise of heaven and the resurrection in John 11:17-27. We considered what happens to us when we die? Where do we go? Will we be conscious? God’s Word answers these questions. We also sang some tremendous hymns that give us a glimpse of heaven. We sang I Greet Thee Who My Sure Redeemer Art, the 16th Century attributed to John Calvin, which professes our faith that Christ is the One who gives us eternal life in heaven. We also sang On Jordan’s Stormy Banks I Stand, which paints an enticing picture of the heaven that awaits the Christian. The bulletin is posted here. A video of the service is below.
