The Peace of Christ

Jesus said, “My peace I give to you.” Our pastor preached from John 14:25-31 on the peace that is available in Christ. We considered what Christ’s peace is and how it impacts the web of relationships in which the Lord has placed us (relationships with Him, relationships with family, relations at work or school and in the community). We also sang three great hymns:

• O For A Thousand Tongues to Sing. Charles Wesley’s hymn from 1739.

• Speak O Lord. Stuart Townend and Keith Getty’s more recent hymn from 2006.

• Before the Throne of God Above. Bob Kauflin’s hymn from 2008 that praises Christ for being our intercessor and advocate before the Father.
