Who is My Neighbor?

calendar_today November 2, 2020

On the last Sunday before our national election, we considered the importance of rendering unto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and rendering unto the Lord the things that are the Lord’s. We are right to give our vote to our candidate but not our heart and devotion. Those are for our Lord. We do not put our hope and trust in princes and presidents who will die and enter the grave (Psalm 146:3-4). Our hope is in the risen King who has the power to raise us up from the grave with Him. Our peace is in knowing that our place in His kingdom cannot be shaken regardless of election results. On this Sunday, our preacher was Rev. Matthew DeLong of Reformed University Fellowship-International at George Mason University. He preached from Luke 10 on the parable of the Good Samaritan. You may find the bulletin here.
