The Clash Over the Gentiles

This past Lord’s Day, Elder Scott Hatch preached on Paul’s clash with Peter at Antioch in Galatians 2:11-21. When Peter withdrew from table fellowship with Gentile believers, Paul saw that the truth of the gospel was at stake and opposed him to his face. No one is justified by works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, and to rebuild a righteousness of works is to say that Christ died in vain. On Reformation Sunday, we were pointed again to the Son of God who loved us and gave Himself for us, and in whom we now live by faith.
